Lakeland Industries, Inc. manufactures and sells a range of safety garments and accessories for the industrial and public protective clothing market in the United States and internationally. The company offers limited use/disposable protective clothing, such as coveralls, lab coats, shirts, pants, hoods, aprons, sleeves, smocks, and shoe covers; high-end chemical protective suits to provide protection from highly concentrated and hazardous chemical and biological toxins; and fire fighting and heat protective apparel, which is used for the maintenance of high temperature equipment, and for military and airport crash and rescue teams. It also provides reusable woven garments, including electrostatic dissipative apparel used in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, clean room apparel to prevent human contamination in the manufacturing processes, flame resistant and fire resistant cotton coveralls used in chemical and petroleum plants and for wild land firefighting, and extrication suits for emergency responders. In addition, the company provides high visibility clothing comprising flame retardant, arc flash resistant, and static dissipative reflective garments; and gloves, arm guards, and sleeves that are used in the automotive, glass, metal fabrication, and food service industries. The company sells its products to a network of approximately 1,200 North American safety and mill supply distributors through a customer service group, regional sales managers, and independent sales representatives.
